Keynote: And now for the weather...

Liba Taub

University of Cambridge

Almost 20 years ago, I published a book called Ancient Meteorology (Routledge, 2003). For the past twenty years, once people know this, they always ask me whether the ancient Greeks and Romans got their weather predictions right. In my talk, I will give a brief outline of what I argued in my book and reflect on how the study of ancient meteorology has developed in the during the last twenty years. I will then consider where we are now and point to some possible avenues of research for the future.
